Welcome to #TheDailyYes. The idea is simple- we are sharing some of the quotes, phrases, and pearls of wisdom that have helped us throughout the years.
A few simple words can completely change the way a person thinks about things. A person’s success, self-worth, and impact on the world can be completely attributed to the way he or she thinks about things.

So what do we do? Anything. Something. So long as we just don’t sit there. If we screw it up, start over. Try something else. If we wait until we’ve satisfied all the uncertainties, it may be too late.Lee Iacocca
Screwing up and moving forward is the hallmark of a successful person. Every aspect of my life has seen failure on multiple levels and some of the simplest, yet most applicable information is that no matter if you miss a deadline- finish what you started.
I say it in this manner because this was something that I dealt with just yesterday with this post. I missed my 5:02 am deadline. I missed it because I had been up all night with a sick 6 year old. I’m not saying that as an excuse. I’m saying that because it’s something that many people can relate to. As much as we have a grand plan, life happens.
For me, I have struggled in the past with simply giving up when I missed a deadline. I had the ‘F-It’ mindset.
And I was wrong.
I have learned the hard way how important it is to finish what I start. I’ve learned the hard way how everything in a persons life is connected. I’ve learned that it is often the very simple tasks that a person does quite regularly that, when left unfinished, can cause larger, unforeseen consequences.
The world is larger and more connected than we think it is. And people rely on us more than we realize.
So when you miss a deadline, whether it is for a blog post, a bill, a phone call, or anything else that we as people can screw up- finish what you started.
