Everyone Is Faced With These Two Choices Every Morning

When we rise in the morning after a night of sleep, it is as if we are going through a sort of rebirth. The day is new, it’s a fresh start. And we’re faced with a pivotal choice that can dictate how we interact with nearly every person and thing as we make our way through the rest of the day. This choice, while it can be silent and passive, is so important. Most people don’t even know that they’re making it. But the people who are active and make it with intention are the people who achieve more, are happier, and have a bigger impact on the lives of others.

Victim or Leader. It’s really quite simple, but at the same time, it can be difficult because what you choose dictates that you act with intention in the rest of your interactions. I believe that everyone can be classified into either one of these categories. And I think if you’ve ever started your day with this thought you are in a better position than the person who felt like they didn’t have the choice at all. It’s easy to be the victim. The world, the traditional media, and in some cases society tells you that you’re stuck with your lot in life. But you’re not

The realization that you, and you alone, dictate what you will become. And it has very little to do with your circumstances. It’s all about choosing to believe that you don’t fall prey to the world. That you live in a positive manner, looking for the good in every situation. Because even the worst things you could imagine have a positive side. And there is an element of faith that comes into play. You’ve gotta have faith.

There is so much that we don’t understand about the world. So many ‘why’s’ that we cannot answer. We think that we have it all figured out, but the reality is that we know very little about our own circumstances. And this is one of the reasons that so many people have difficulties finding their ‘purpose’ in life. But one thing that you can do is, with intention, choose how you will see the world. As something that is out to get you, that doesn’t play fair. Or as something that provides everything you need and guides you toward something greater. The leader knows that the path isn’t always illuminated, but he knows that there is a path.

Have a great day, everyone!
