The coming of the New Year typically induces us to make resolutions and goals to better our health, our lives, and our trajectories.
In all honesty: new year, same me. Anyone else?
With that said, I truly believe in setting obtainable goals – aspirations that comprise a bucket list, as opposed to those that aim to change who I am as an individual.
The list can be local, state-level, national, or international. Personally, I have versions for each; however, I’m going to share my local one with y’all today.
My 2019 Louisville Bucket List:
- Go To The Races At Churchill Downs
While I’ve attended many a Kentucky Derby, I have never been to Thurby or the Kentucky Oaks; this year, that changes! Run, baby, run!
- Enjoy A Performance At Actor’s Theatre
I must say – I’m ashamed that I’ve never been to a show at Actor’s Theatre, a gem of our city. Dracula is definitely happening this fall!
- Support Our Local Teams More
Louisville City FC, Louisville Bats, and our UofL Cardinals – I’m coming for you!
- Visit All Louisville Distilleries & Breweries
There are many things that make the Commonwealth of Kentucky special; however, I’d argue that our libations are near the top of the list. Louisville is chock-full of passionate business owners making their mark on the industry and I want to support them!
- Try 12 New-To-Me Restaurants
While my full-time job is working in restaurants promoting local food and destinations, there are always new spots opening up that I want to try. Furthermore, there are local gems that I haven’t visited yet since moving to the city. This year, that changes – I vow to visit one new restaurant (at minimum) per month!
What are your 2019 goals? Tell me below, y’all!
As always: Happy Eating, Happy Traveling, Happy Living.
