“There was a flower in her heart, it just need more room to bloom, and when she let it free, she showed the world that sometimes the most beautiful things can grow in the darkest of places without the need of light.”
Every day I express the importance of self-love & self-care.
I took my own advice and chose to re-engage
& having “me” time to take moments to dig into my good ol soul grind
& sure enough, beauty happened.
I flipped open The Untethered Soul, that accumulated dust, and realized I was on the chapter titled
“Let go now or Fall…”
These words were too powerful not to share ….
“If you truly want to grow spiritually, you’ll realize that keeping your stuff is keeping you trapped. Eventually, you’ll want out, at any cost. You will then realize that life is actually trying to help you. Life is surrounding you with people and situations to stimulate growth. You don’t have to decide who’s right and who’s wrong. You don’t have to worry about other people’s issues. You only have to be willing to open your heart in the face of anything and everything and permit the purification process to take place. When you do this, the first thing you’ll see is that situations will unfold that will HIT YOUR STUFF. But in truth, that’s exactly what has been happening your entire life. The only difference is that now you see it is a good thing because it’s an opportunity to let go.
The stuff that holds you down periodically rears its head. When it does, let it go. You simply permit the pain to come into your heart and pass through. If you do that, it will pass. If you are sincerely seeking the truth, you’ll let go every time. This is the beginning of emptying yourself. When you work with this, you start to learn the subtle flaws of the process of letting go.”
Then this was the ending to this chapters wisdom & it gave me all types of feels …
“You either let go or you don’t. There really isn’t anything in between. So let all of your blockages and disturbances become the fuel for your journey. That which is holding you down can become a powerful force that raises you up. You must be willing to take the ascent.”
Being broken open is a beautiful thing.
Please don’t mistake the pain of fear, anger, sadness and all that comes with healing and letting go as
a negative force or a barrier to your ability to rise.
This will assist in your ability to rise.
I absolutely love the phrase emptying yourself
& I love that the phrase “letting go” is used in a healthy, empowering and positive way–
not in a rush your healing type of way-
more so in a form of healing and forgiveness for self & a form of honoring all of self in the process.
This chapter also drew me to a flower that has caught my attention –
which is odd because I really don’t care for flowers- but these flowers are da bomb.
The lotus flower is born from murk and mire.
The lotus unfolds its beauty in the nastiest of bogs & moves through the muck with Elegance and grace.
Yeah, your probably thinking what I’m thinking ….
Healing is not all grace filled and beautifully dainty.
Psh, some times it’s raw and hurtful and painful and full of tears running down your face, hands wanting to pull out your hair and the necessary empty car needed to just get a moment of screaming in.
This aspect of the symbolism though, to me, is symbolism of letting go, forgiveness and self love
while in the processes of becoming
what you are intended to be.
You too, like this radiant flower,
can grown even in the muckiest of waters.
Beauty comes from it & blossoms and so shall you.
Though the waters have not been the most attractive of waters-
they are the only waters that produces this beautiful flower…
Just as the chapter describes…
“That which holds you down can be a Powerful force that raises you up”
Hope it rattled some up in love and in an awakening broken openness kinda way for you as it did me.
Indulge in some “me time” tonight my people .
Continue to heal, grown and blossom beautifully.
