To me, Christmas is way more than the gifts around the tree. This has been the way I felt since the beginning…credit to my amazing parents for this. I love this time of year, I mean for goodness sake I believed in Santa for way longer than a normal child should LOL.

I love everything about this time of year for so so so many reasons…and could rave about every aspect that brings me this joy, but I would be here until next year. The overall build up of the Holiday season in itself is one of my favorite parts, to sing along to my favorite tunes, and indulge in the best movies and treats. I love feeling the Christmas cheer and holiday spirit from everyone around, and all the amazing decorations that somehow just instantly make my day 10x better.

I find that the older I get, the more I cherish the moments I get to spend genuine time with my family and friends. Every single year, it seems that the time dwindles to less and less, as life gets more chaotic. I love soaking in moments, and taking a step back to take an imaginary snapshot as a promise to myself to never forget this moment.

Another aspect of the Holiday season that I love and cherish, is the traditions. It is so fascinating to me to hear everyones family traditions, and how they are different for every single family in some unique way.  My family has an immense amount of traditions, but one of my favorites is the matching Christmas pajamas to wear Christmas Eve night into Christmas morning! We always take a photo, and it is so fun to look back and compare each years photos to one another.  My boyfriend and I have began some of our own traditions for the Holiday season as well. Every single year we either buy or make our yearly Christmas ornament.  It is going to be so fun to look back in years and years at our very first Christmas together, and I hope to continue all of my family’s traditions forever. In addition, I look forward to the day when I have kids of my own, and as a family we make new traditions that they may write about one day.

Oh this time of year is just so holly and merry.  I hope everyone feels this giddy and happy about the Holiday time. It comes and goes in a blink, literally, so I try each year to take advantage of the time and truly soak it in. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, oh and I get to see my family and friends in less than a week…EEPP!
