In this episode of #YesDoesIt the Yes Louisville team embarks on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail! Our first stop was the Bardstown Bourbon Company & their Bottle & Bond Kitchen & Bar!

We met David Mandell, President & CEO, along with his family at Bourbon & Beyond, where they invited us to see their operation up close & personal. From the first conversation with David we knew that Bardstown Bourbon Company was special & our visit to their incredible facility proved us right.

We were met with Southern hospitality at its finest & enjoyed a true behind-the-scenes full experience of “making bourbon in the community responsible for bringing it to the world.”

From couture craft cocktails, themed for Fall & cleverly named, to elevated shareable favorites & more, the Bottle & Bond Kitchen & Bar was satisfying to the max. Our favorite thing outside of flawless flavors was the inherent comfort of the space. Every intentional detail said, “All are welcome & every guest is a VIP.” Dressed in just jeans or a full suit you’ll feel like you fit at Bottle & Bond. And that is the point. No dress code, just accessible bourbon culture for all. Their full visitor’s experience beyond the restaurant is under construction, but we were able to go inside the distillery for a grand tour & tasting as a teaser for what’s to come.

Join us as we venture into the world of fine food, drinks, & collaborative distilling at the Bardstown Bourbon Company!

It’s clear from the virtual tour & tasting that these guys are top shelf, but they are also a big deal in the global hospitality field! Bottle & Bond Kitchen & Bar is one of the select groups partnering with the J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program, which along with companies like Disney, give international students an opportunity to gain experience in various aspects of the hospitality industry as they prepare for a career in the field. We met Sandile from South Africa, who is loving life in the Bluegrass as part of the family at Bottle & Bond! He said he had many options to apply to, but he wanted to come to Bardstown to learn about distilling & creating a wonderful visitor experience around great products.

The word of the day is always Collaboration at the Bardstown Bourbon Company & they are delivering product perfection to their Collaborative Distilling Partners. Just like the design of their Spirit Safe, they utilize a beautiful blend of technology & tradition in every aspect of their operations & we can’t wait to see them grow!

Follow them on the socials @bardstownbourboncompany & @bottleandbondkitchenbar for the most up-to-date info on their rapidly expanding visitor experience! We won’t spoil all of what’s to come, but we can say they’re creating an interactive tasting & cocktail creation classroom INSIDE a rick house! Go ahead & call your friends to save a date for Spring 2019!

Yes Louisville would like to thank David, Dan, & John for welcoming us into their family for the day! We’ll be back! #YesDoesIt #KYBourbonTrail

Thank you to those individuals who helped bring the The Bardstown Bourbon Company to life including founding majority owner Peter Loftin & Constellation Brands! Cheers!
