I ran into Turner Mayton in 2015 at a Flea Off Market when we first started our Yes Louisville apparel brand. He was looking to get our business. And in the end, he did. But along the way, we’ve shared ideas and collaborated and I’m proud to know this man. He’s got a servant’s heart and truly wants to share the stories of people who don’t have an outlet. His Instagram project, Starting With Lou, highlights individuals at random with a photo and a set of questions. And the stories that have come from it have sparked an interest in the forgotten side of our city. If nothing else, seeing the stories of people who struggle might make the folks who don’t think a bit about their situation. It’s all about perspective, right?
