Bach & Brews: a special performance of Bach's works for violin by Scott Moore

at Holy Grale's choir loft

Scott Moore has collaborated extensively with local luminaries like Teddy Abrams and Rachel Grimes, toured the country with the 23 String Band, and is writing his third score for the Louisville Ballet. Among his latest endeavours: memorizing Bach’s complete works for solo violin, nearly three hours of some of the most amazing music ever conceived for the instrument. This Sunday, he brings selections to the Holy Grale choir loft, in a free pop-up performance from noon to two.

Get ready for the Kentucky Shakespeare's performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream." coming to the Iroquois Amphitheater today from 12-2. The show is part of the Shakespeare in the Park program, which offers free Shakespeare plays to the public.

5 Make a Paper Flower Fascinator!

Have you always wanted to learn how to make a paper flower? Need something fabulous to wear to that Derby party?
Celebrate Derby and Spring and learn new papercrafting techniques with me at the fantabulous Preston Arts Center!
In this workshop you will learn all of the basics of making a crepe paper poppy, paint and embellish, then learn how to turn that into a fascinator headband.

The class is $55 per student, which includes all the materials you need to create your fascinator, and access to paint, brushes, embellishments, etc.

Bring your own scissors, ruler, and pencil if you'd like!

Join Gilda's Club Louisville for dinner (dine-in or carry out) at Le Moo this Sunday! All you need to do is mention you're attending for Gilda's Club, and Le Moo does the donating for you! Gilda's Club Louisville provides social and emotional support to men, women, children and teens affected by cancer - both those with the diagnosis and their families and friends. All programs are provided at no cost to participants. From yoga classes, to support groups, to art workshops and summer camps for kids, Gilda's Club works to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.
