1 VANESSA ALBURY: All Things That Are, Are Light And Soot
Join us tonight at Quappi Projects for the opening reception of Vanessa Albury's exhibition "All Things That Are, Are Light and Soot". Reception will be from 5-9PM & is free to the public.
Inspired by the build-up of history in dirt, dust and ivy accumulated and grown over forgotten windows on industrial buildings and her own family history, she will be creating and exhibiting mural-scaled cyanotypes of massive and filth-caked windows in our own Portland neighborhood, just several blocks from where her grandfather William Rihn had a machine shop and a few miles from Six Mile Island, where her Cherokee great-great-grandparents lived.

Evening hours are back at the Speed! On the Third Friday of every month, the Museum will be open until 10 pm. Each After Hours event comes alive with an eclectic mix of music, performances, food + drinks by Wiltshire at The Speed Art Museum, and of course art! Come experience the Speed after hours like you’ve never experienced it before.

The 8th Annual Ten-Tucky Festival of Ten-Minute Plays
A Celebration of Kentucky Artistry; Hosted by Doug Schutte
Each performance night is a party, as we present 9 short plays by 9 KY playwrights, directed and performed by two dozen KY theatre artists. Don't love the play you're watching? Just wait 5 minutes and you'll see a new one! And, of course, choose your favorite three to help select the winning festival plays!

5 Citrus Festival
On the 21st and 22nd of September there will be a gathering to celebrate the abundance of talent in Louisville. Just $10 for a single day admission or $15 for two!
For this will be the first annual Citrus Fest, created by Louisville natives Greg Witt and Sean Allen, with the help of Maddy Burris and John Faughender III. The goal of Citrus Fest is to unite and empower the artists, visionaries, and musicians in Louisville to work together to create a city that fosters unending growth and compassion for each other's craft. This event will include artwork for sale, food-trucks from local vendors, and live music from Louisville's finest. Don't be sour, join and empower.

You are invited to join Kentucky Refugee Ministries in Encouraging Hope at the 19th annual Global Gourmet fundraiser. Experience a delicious, international cuisine, hear music from KRM Live artists, and take home fabulous items in the silent auction. Celebrate making Kentucky home for refugees and join us tonight!

Catering by Wiltshire Pantry. Food and desserts provided by international restaurants. Drinks by lead sponsor Brown-Forman. International and local performers will be announced closer to the event.
This year’s silent auction will feature artwork, vacation getaways, home decor, and more. Anyone can participate in the auction, even if you cannot join us for the event. Everyone will be able to register for the auction and preview the items before the night of the event. During the event, guests can bid by using their mobile phones. The silent auction will go live before the event. Stay tuned!
