1 Kentucky State Fair (FRIDAY-SUNDAY)

The unique, family-friendly 11-day festival that celebrates local and statewide heritage gives far more to the Commonwealth than merely blue ribbon competition, concerts, special exhibits and carnival rides. It is a showcase for Kentucky’s finest products, companies, entertainment, and, most importantly, people.

Open daily from 8/15-8/25! Fun for all ages! Special admission discounts to Kentucky Kingdom available on-site.

Online admission is $8 per person & online parking $8 per vehicle.
On site admission $10 per person and parking is $10 per vehicle.

2 2019 Midwest Queer Comedy Festival (FRIDAY-SUNDAY)

From August 21st-25th, the MQCFest is 5 nights, of shows, showcases, podcasts and after parties!

Show locations will vary throughout the week. This year's line up is stacked from top to bottom.Joining us this August in Derby City are headliners Tony Tripoli Comedy, SAMPSON McCormick, and Thai Rivera Comedy.

7 Connect at Bernheim Forest (SATURDAY)

Don’t miss the chance to see the Bernheim Forest Giants in a Giant Forest lit up to glow under the night sky.

Lake Nevin comes alive with spontaneous art, drum circles, light sculptures and musical performances from renowned artists along with hands-on art and science activities. Food trucks, beer and wine vendors and the mud play zone attract visitors of all ages.

8 Louisville Zombie Walk (SATURDAY)

Come join as over 45K ++ zombies take over Bardstown Rd. in Louisville, KY! Complete with a zombie themed festival featuring: live bands, entertainment, costume contest, food, zombie car show, zombie market and a zombie midway gaming area!

Festival begins at 7pm and the walk will commence at 8:29pm. This event is FREE!

10 Gilda's Goes to the Dogs (SUNDAY)

Bring your pups and come for a walk in Gilda's Club Kentuckiana's new neighborhood! We'll be joined by local non-profit rescue group Saving Sunny, Inc.! All dog breeds and those with varying levels of social skills are welcome! See the event page for RSVP information & dog etiquette information.

Use this as a way to learn and grow as a dog handler, or just to get out and exercise with your pet and other dog owners. We’ll meet for popsicles in the parking lot after the walk. Please read below for safety guidelines for our four-legged friends.
